The Story Behind UP Cleaning Services, Millersville MD

Angela Santos was born on a farm in the state of Goiás, Brazil, where she learned early the value of hard work and never giving up on a dream. In December 2003, she left her three children behind and moved to the United States, taking on construction cleaning work for seven dollars an hour, often without running water or electricity on site, through the coldest winters and the hottest summers.

Years later, after building experience cleaning residential homes for twenty five dollars a visit, Angela decided to stop working for others and start something of her own. More than seventeen years ago, she printed her first business cards and began building a client base from scratch. One of her biggest challenges, the language barrier, slowly became an opportunity: every new home introduced her to people who helped her learn, adapt, and grow more confident. That determination became the foundation of UP Cleaning Services, a company built to offer more than clean homes, excellence, trust, respect, and real care for every family it serves.
